En konversation ur min vardag
Min flicka (4 år) - Do we have a jail in this country?
Jag - Yes, we've got many jails here.
- Do children go to jail?
- Not a normal jail, but if they're really naughty they might go to a special jail for children.
- Special jail for children? What's special about it?
(Jag vet ingenting om fängelser eller om det finns fängelser för barn, men jag hittade på lite för att verka kunnig)
- The children go to school there so that they learn things they need to know when they're grown ups. They're not allowed to have their parents there, though.
- Why?
- Because the children are in jail.
(Lång tystnad och dimmig blick innan hon tittade förbryllat på mig)
- Why did we just talk about jail?
